How to lock emergency apps on your phone

Smartphones can now be used for everything. Smartphones are our constant companion, not only for communicating far and wide, but also for everything from paying water bills to watching dramas and movies. However, many times we give our phones to our children. This can lead to them accessing your important messaging apps or social media without even realizing it.

You can lock apps to prevent your children from roaming freely on social media. Find out how-

>> Those who use Xiaomi, Redmi, Poco may have to work a little harder. First, go to the Settings option and from there go to the Apps option. Then click on the App Lock option from there. There you will see a tab called Hidden Apps. By clicking on that option, you can hide your necessary apps.

>> In the case of OnePlus phones, first stretch your home screen with two fingers. Immediately, the phone's hidden space will open. A plus (+) sign will appear there. Clicking there will open all the apps on the phone. Then click on the apps you want to hide. Similarly, you can unhide the required apps.

>> In the case of Samsung, the user does not need to do any stretching. Just long press on the home screen. Then click on the home screen settings option. From there, click on the hide app option.

>> Those who are using Realme should first go to Settings. Click on the Security option there. Then you have to click on an option button called App Encryption. Then you will need to set a privacy passcode. After setting the passcode, just select the apps you want to hide.

>> Even though there is no built-in feature to lock apps directly on iPhone, it is possible to lock apps using Screen Time. First, go to Settings > Screen Time. From there, select Use Screen Time Passcode and set a passcode. Then go to App Limits. Select a specific app or app category and set a time limit (such as 1 minute). After the time is up, the app will be locked and cannot be run without a passcode.
